• Regulatory and insurance costs.

1. First trip (3–5 days): consultation, CT, extraction if needed, implant placement.
2. Healing period of roughly 3–6 months at home.
3. Second trip (4–7 days): impressions, abutment and final crown.

Each trip adds flights, accommodation and time off work. For a single implant, those costs can close much of the gap with home prices. For multiple implants or full-arch treatment such as All-on-4 or All-on-6, the saving is usually much larger in absolute terms.
